There are 4 units that have been designed for special needs members.
History
Lakewood Manor was built in 1988, although organizing and planning started in 1986, by dedicated people who believed that co-operative housing could make a difference in providing not only housing but a community life style that would bring like minded people together to build and maintain such a facility and they were right. Lakewood Manor is such a place, and those that began this project, as well as current members have and are experiencing this wonderful community life.
We were a proud member of the Co-operative Housing Association of Saskatchewan (CHAS), who were instrumental in the planning and development of our great facility. We are grateful to those who tirelessly worked with our board of directors during those early years when our people were learning to manage and operate this facility. Those efforts along with the hard work of the members following in their footsteps, has maintained Lakewood Manor in its current good condition.
Our facility has been maintained for over 34 years through member participation. We are proud of those who have willingly done their share over the years to keep Lakewood Manor the beautiful place it is. We expect current and future members to continue the excellent management and maintenance of our facility.
